London Quantum networks Limited (LQN) is creating the World’s first commercial test facility for quantum cryptography right in the heart of the City of London to provide facilities to financial institutions, government departments and university research.
LQN is setting up the facility based on state of the art terrestrial optical fibre and line of sight links between Canary Warf and the City of London to enable a number of organisations to design, engineer, test and demonstrate a series of applications.
The focus and value of the enterprise will be in helping with the process of developing a set of international standards, commercial protocols and common operating procedures which are crucial for the development of applications running over quantum secured™ networks.
LQN is a public/private initiative in collaboration with a wide variety of international advisors and partners to create a centre of innovation for communication security, supporting London as the World’s pre-eminent financial centre.
